Sewing seeds of change

Forrest Glen Owen, a retired botanist, and ‘Roosta mon’ enjoy the Community Seed and Plant Exchange, Sunday, at Kaua‘i Village Shopping Center. Owen says the most interesting plant he saw was a black sapote, a persimmon species native to Central America. Plants and seeds were distributed for free at the event.
