Wilson Abraham Aana of Waimea and Honolulu died on May 22, 2011, at home at age 84. Born in Makaweli on July 25, 1926, he was a rigger with Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Keikiala Aana and Lahela Napihelua Kahaamaikai; brothers, Samuel Makuaole, Barney Char, Ernest Char, Nani Char; sisters, Mary Winkle, Christine Ah Nin, Rosebelle Naumu; hanai sisters, Luka Yorkman and Agnes Hamada.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma M.K. Aana; sons, John Aana of Hanapepe, Jim (Marie) Aana of Waimea; daughters, Donna (Maurice) Nakahara of Kilauea and Leslie Ann (Cory Todd) Aana of Kekaha; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Girlie Gonzales.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, at the Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery Pavilion. Service and burial will follow.
Casual attire is suggested.

Mauricio Balisacan
Mauricio Badua Balisacan Sr. of Kapa‘a, Kaua‘i died May 15, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 73. Born in Sta. Rosa, Sarrat, Illocos Norte Philippines on May 17, 1937, he was a landscaper and retired as a cook at KFC.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa G. Balisacan; two daughters, Chita (Francisco) Capistrano and Marylou (Albert) Iglesia; two sons, Amante (Marietta) Balisacan and Mauricio Balisacan Jr.; nine grandchildren, Cesar (Grace) Capistrano; Arjay (Gena) Balisacan; Ashley, Alyssa, BJ and April Mae Balisacan; Alma, Marissa and Allison Iglesia; three great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Alex Capistrano and Rayden Balisacan; two brothers, Francisco (Nicasia) Balisacan and Tomix, deceased (Maria) Balisacan of Kaua‘i; four sisters, Salome Balisacan, Felicidad Urata, Fortunato Dumayas of Honolulu and Florinda Ganotis of the Philippines; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, June 3, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary in Koloa and from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., June 4, at Immaculate Conception Church, where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihu‘e Cemetery.
Annie Cabais
Annie Cabais of the United Kingdom died on April 30, 2011, at San Jose, Calif., at age 84. Born in Warrington, U.K., she retired as a master knitting instructor and volunteer worker.
She is preceded in death by husband, Albert Cabais, U.S.A.F. Ret.
She is survived by daughters, Moe (Arthur) Ayala, Leilani Cabais; grandson, Brandon Rathbone; great-grandson, Reidon Rathbone; brothers and sisters in U.K as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at 10 a.m. on June 3 at St. Stephens Catholic Church, in Nuuanu. Burial to follow at National Cemetery of Pacific Punchbowl.

Marilyn Silva
Marilyn A. Silva of Koloa died on May 26, 2011, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born in Hawai‘i, she retired as a stock clerk at Koloa Big Save.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank G. Silva Jr.; brother, Frank M. Silva; grandmother, Rita Jacintho; uncles, Louis Jacintho Jr., Richard (Dick) Jacintho; and an aunt, Marie Emura.
She is survived by her mother, Eleanor Carvalho (Daniel); sister, Patricia Reyes; brother, David Silva; great-uncle, Gabriel Cataluna; aunties, Myrna Jacintho and Lydia Sakimae; uncles, Henry Emura and George Sakimae; nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 9:45 a.m., Friday, June 3, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa where memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Koloa County Cemetery.
Henry Ferreira
Henry Pestana Ferreira of Lihu‘e died on May 27, 2011, at home at the age of 91. Born on Kaua‘i on Jan. 15, 1920, he retired as a tour bus driver with Grey Line Tours.
He is preceded in death by parents, Antone and Mary Ferreira and brother, Albert Ferreira.
He is survived by his wife, Violet Ferreira; daughters, Mary Pat (Richard) Moniz of Oahu; Yvonne Ferreira-Martin of Texas; Rose Harris of Lihu‘e; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Ferreira family with arrangements.
