Putt-putt tourney benefits pier

Rotarian Branch Lotspeich of the Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay, his wife Melody and his mother-in-law Marie Tepper watch as Jake Lamden, 8, gets creative at the No. 18 hole at Kaua‘i Mini Golf, Monday in Kilauea. The Rotary Club hosted a mini golf tournament, sparked by an idea from Rotarian Tony Motta, and raised more than $5,000 including some outright contributions toward the repair of the Hanalei Pier. The club’s goal is to raise $100,000 to cover the costs of the repair.
