PUHI — Demi Bates of the Regency at Puakea was announced as a winner of the Regency Pacific Exceptional Performance Award, Monday.
Kathy Peters, general manager of Regency at Puakea, said the announcement was made during the staff meeting, noting that Bates’ award is a corporate award.
“Demi is dedicated and committed to our residents,” Peters said in her nominating letter. “She continues to practice the Regency Philosophy of ‘Bringing Independence to Living and Quality to Life’ by her daily interactions with our residents by encouraging and allowing them to perform their activities of daily living to the best of their abilities.”
Bates, joining the Regency staff in April 2008, is currently the lead medical technician, Peters said.
“Demi has weathered the change of management and has demonstrated the ability to adjust to change which allows her to continue her dedication and commitment as the Lead Med Tech,” Peters said.
Regency Exceptional Performance Award candidates are role models who exemplify an extraordinary commitment to the quality of care for residents as well as embody the Regency philosophy.
Peters said Bates’ formal acknowledgment will take place on March 29 at the Regency Pacific Annual Awards Banquet in Issaquah, Wash.
Regency at Puakea is one of 53 facilities under the Regency Pacific umbrella and has a staff of 66 employees.
