Kapa‘a man injured in early morning crash

WAILUA — A one-car crash in Wailua Homesteads early Tuesday morning left a 29-year-old Kapa‘a man injured, according to a county press release.

He was taken to Wilcox Hospital for treatment and is currently in critical condition.

There were no passengers in the vehicle.

According to a preliminary report, Chaise Lindstedt was heading toward Wailua Homesteads in a gold sport utility vehicle on Kuamo‘o Road, near the Holoholoku Heiau at approximately 2:30 a.m., when his vehicle went off the roadway and flipped into a nearby pasture.

Fire personnel extricated Lindstedt from his vehicle and medics transported him to Wilcox Hospital.

Kuamo‘o Road was closed following the crash, and was reopened at about 5:30 a.m.

An investigation of the crash is ongoing.
