Antonio Ispelite Silva of Kapa‘a died Oct. 29, 2010, at age 11 months at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children in Honolulu. He was born on Nov. 25, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihu‘e.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis S. and Emily P. Silva of Kalaheo and Samiuela Fifita of Kolomotu’a TBU.
He is survived by parents Louis C. Sr. and ‘Alisi Silva of Kapa‘a; grandmother ‘Alisi P. Fifita of Kolomotu’a TBU; sisters Michelle (Molena) Ayers of Kane‘ohe, Delcie (Chris) Okumura of Waimea, Mimosa and Carmen Fifita of Kolomotu’a TBU; brother Louis C. (Kellin Vea) Silva Jr.; aunts Joyce (Linsey) Carineo of Koloa, Ana (Ian) Otai of Sydney, Australia, and Naule’o Fifita (Ewen Ross) of Christchurch, New Zealand; uncles Gary and Glen Silva of Kalaheo, Iki (Ana) Fifita of Kolomotu’a TBU, Kipi (Louisa) Fifita of Sydney, Australia, ‘Amanaki Fifita of Kolomotu’a, TBU; nieces Ciane and Hiilei Ayers of Kane‘ohe, Zenia and Zoey Okamura of Waimea, Kanani and Kiani Silva of Kapa‘a; nephew Dylan Ayers of Kane‘ohe; and extended cousins, family and dear friends.
Cremation by Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary in Honolulu, and his “Celebration of Life” at a later date to be announced.
David Kea
David-John Halemanu Kea of Anahola died Oct. 19, 2010, at age 54. He was born on Aug. 12, 1956, in Okinawa.
He was preceded in death by wife Doreen Kea; sister Susie Kekahuna; and parents John Louis and Venancia Ebalaroza Kea.
He is survived by sons Kawika (Keleen) Na-o, Manu (Chelsea) Kea; daughters Napua (Alan) Jeffries, Venancia (Kyle) Kea; companion Lovey Harper; brothers Vincent (Jaime) Kea, Sam (Liane) Kea, Patrick Kea; hanai brother Robin Escuabro; sisters Jovena Daniels, Patricia (Steven) Tani, Keahi (Ted) Nuuanu, Momi (Leonard) Kaeo, Maka (Edward) Carriera; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Service will be Nov. 19 at Mililani Cemetery, with viewing to begin at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. service and burial to follow.
A second service will be on Dec. 4 at Anahola Beach Park at 11 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.
The family request casual attire and flowers are welcomed for both services.
Movia Niau Jr.
Movia “Tony” Niau Jr. of Salt Pond, Kaua‘i, died Nov. 1, 2010, in Honolulu, O‘ahu, at age 54. Born Dec. 28, 1955, in Pu‘uwai, Ni‘ihau, he was a groundskeeper for the County of Kaua‘i.
He is survived by girlfriend Linda Rita; daughters Marie “Ui” Kanahele, Ann Marie “Annie” Kanahele; sons Hilton “Boy” Niau, Lincoln “Bubz” Niau; and five grandchildren.
Memorial service will be Saturday, Nov. 13, at Salt Pond Beach, Hanapepe. Visitation is at 11 a.m. with services to follow.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary, Koloa.
Edith Okada
Edith “Auntie Bobbi” Masue Okada died Nov. 5, 2010, at her residence in Koloa at age 97. Born on June 17, 1913, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by husband Yohei Okada; son Robert Okada; sister Mildred Mitsuku Tsukamoto; and parents Otozuchi and Toki Okinaka.
She is survived by brother David Okinaka; sister Shirley Sukisaki; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Celebration of life will be on Sunday, Nov. 14, at the Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel, Koloa. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. with services to follow at 11:30 a.m.
Family request no flowers and casual attire.

Gerald (Jerome) Allan Mariano
Gerald (Jerome) Allan Mariano of Wai‘anae was laid to rest Sept. 10, 2010, at age 71 after having been missing for one year. Born on July 12, 1938, in Makaweli, he was an employee with Kaiser Medical Center and a retired Army veteran as an environmental service tech and alumni of Waimea High School c/o 1956.
He was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Ida Jordan Mariano; brothers Joseph ‘Sonny’ Mariano and Rodney Mariano.
He is survived by wife Beverly Kaliko Mariano and son Donovan Mariano, both of Wai‘anae; sisters Marjory Mariano-Starmen of New Mexico, Jeanette (Don) Johnson of Arkansas, Betty-Ann Lee of O‘ahu and Jasmine (Keith) Mariano Hardy.
Services were held at the O‘ahu Cemetery Chapel and Inurnment at National memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl, O‘ahu.
Ultimate Cremation Services Hawai‘i helped the family with arrangements.
Margaret Nakamura
Margaret Hisayo Nakamura of Wailua died Nov. 7, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 86. Born Nov. 10, 1923, in Wailua, she was co-owner of Nakamura Repair Shop.
She was preceded in death by her husband Yoshihiro Nakamura.
She is survived by sons, Clyde (Chile) Nakamura of California and Milton Nakamura of Wailua Houselots; daughters Irene (Paul) Nitta of Honolulu and Marie (Gene) Hashimura of Wailua Houselots; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Eleanor Seshiki of Wailua Houselots; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Kapa‘a Hongwanji Mission; service officiated by Rev. Takahashi will begin at 4 p.m. Family requests casual attire.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
Yukie Ozaki
Yukie Ueoka Ozaki of Honolulu died Oct. 29, 2010, at the Hi’ Olani Care Center in Kahala Niu at age 92. Born May 24, 1918, in Waimea, Kaua‘i, she was the owner of Robert’s of Kaua‘i.
She was the widow of the late Robert Ozaki.
She is survived by son Milton R. Ozaki; daughters Marian O. Conroy and Joyce Tomonari; grandchildren Nikki Simpson, Cyndi Wilder, and Todd Ozaki; great-grandchild Owen Simpson; brother Richard Kazuo Ueoka; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcomed on Sunday, Nov. 14, at the Hanapepe United Church of Christ for a memorial service that will begin at 4 p.m.
No monetary gifts or flowers will be accepted.
