LIHU‘E — The Rotary Club of Kalepa Sunrise is holding its annual golf tournament on Oct. 17 at Kaua‘i Lagoons to raise funds for scholarships for Kaua‘i youth, a news release states.
This year, in addition to awarding scholarships to youth who will be attending four-year colleges, the club will seek applicants for vocational scholarships specifically for seniors who want to attend training to acquire skills in areas including but not limited to auto mechanics, diesel mechanics, cosmetology, construction, plumbing, electrician, computer technology, IT (information technology) and networking, business, paralegal, medical transcription and nursing.
Kalepa Sunrise needs support for its tournament, the release says. Hole sponsors and prize donations are welcomed. An awards luncheon will be held at 22 North.
