LIHU‘E — County Department of Water officials announced Monday that a portion of Pua Loke Street between Haleko Road and Kaumuali‘i Highway will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday.
Only local traffic for businesses in the area will be allowed, a county news release states.
The road will be closed because the water department will be hosting its 7th annual Make a Splash Water Festival for fifth grade students from around the island. The event will be held at the Pua Loke Arboretum.
While the Make a Splash Water Festival is in progress, the Department of Water will have limited customer services available. Drop off water bill payments will be accepted, throughout the day, but the water resources and planning division will not be processing water permits until after the event.
