But Cristobal did not stop there, as she had livestock entered in four of the five of the 4-H Livestock Show categories, emerging with rosettes in three categories.
In addition to the Grand Champion ribbon for her market hog which weighed in at 269 pounds, Cristobal earned a Grand Champion rosette in the wether wool/hair breed lamb show with her Dorset X breed that tipped the scale at 85 pounds, the heaviest of the four lambs in the arena.
She rounded out the live show earnings with a Reserve Champion status in the 4-H goat show with a 70-pound Spanish x Boer animal, another animal which was the heaviest in the ring.
Chad Andrade, fielding a 67-pound Spanish x Boer, was the Grand Champion in the goat live show. Andrade also captured the Grand Champion rosette in the junior-division showmanship class for goats, with Cristobal getting the Grand Champion rosette for showmanship in the senior division.
Cristobal rounded out her live placing with a third-place finish in the market steer arena with her Angus X that tipped the scale at 1,220 pounds.
An R. Angus animal from Farias Cattle Co. earned V. Davis Grand Champion status in the live placing with a steer that tipped the scale at 1,291 pounds, edging out Cassie Kawamura’s B. Angus that ended as Reserve Champion with a 1,070-pound weight.
Davis also took top honors in the senior-division showmanship class for the market steer, with Kawamura being the Reserve Champion in the senior-division showmanship class.
Top honors in the junior showmanship for market steers went to Jade Nakamoto, who handled her Red Angus that tipped the scale at 1,109 pounds. Bryson Po‘ai handled his 1,105-pound Herford to a Reserve Champion finish in junior showmanship.
Nakamoto also earned the Grand Champion rosette in junior showmanship in the market hog arena with her handling of a H/YxY animal that weighed in at 203 pounds.
Following Cristobal in the live placing for market hogs, Bill Souza ended with Reserve Champion rosettes for his DxY hog from Kaneshiro Hog Farms that weighed in at 247 pounds. Souza also was Reserve Champion in the junior showmanship division for market hogs.
Reserve Champion honors in the wether wool/hair breed lambs went to Brianna Kaneshiro with a Dorset X that weighed in at 72 pounds.
Chloe Bishop was the Grand Champion in live placing of the wether meat breed lamb arena with a Suffolk/Hampshire that weighed in at 127 pounds over Bill Souza who finished as Reserve Champion with a Suffolk/Hampshire that stopped the scale at 139 pounds.
Souza also captured Grand Champion in the junior-division showmanship category, with Bishop getting Reserve Champion honors in junior-division showmanship class.
Megan Souza, with an 80-pound Suffolk/Hampsire, was named the Grand Champion in the senior-division showmanship class for the lamb competition, with Cristobal ending as the Reserve Champion in the senior-showmanship division.
