Co-owner Ana Munoz prepares a “Margarita Rica” so delicious you’ll be asking for another one, and another, and another…
Ana is originally from Puerto Rico and her husband is from El Salvador, but they met at a dance fiesta in a Mexican restaurant on the Big Island, where Ana’s husband used to cook. Both were expert dancers, and inevitably they were drawn together.
Today they barely go dancing, after all, it’s hard to take care of a business and three children.
Ana loves to meet people, and the beautiful smile on her face is a constant reminder of her friendliness. Her business allowed her to know the community, which in turn massively supports La Bamba.
La Bamba has no flat-screen TVs like other restaurants, because Ana wants to promote a place where friends and families get together and engage in conversation over great food, instead of staring at a TV screen.
The restaurant is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
