LIHU‘E — Alicia Michioka Jones, a Kapa‘a native, is the 2010 Mrs. Hawai‘i.
Jones, a graduate of Kapa‘a High School, will be representing Hawai‘i at the Mrs. America pageant scheduled for Sept. 7 in Tucson, Ariz., following the announcement made during the Mrs. Hawai‘i pageant at the Neal Blaisdell Center Pikake Room on O‘ahu.
During that pageant, Jones also earned the popularity award as voted on by fellow contestants.
Married to Matt Jones, a personal trainer in Honolulu, for seven years, Alicia Michioka Jones is no stranger to pageants, previously holding the title of Miss Hawai‘i USA 2003 and placing in the top 10 at the Miss USA pageant.
In 2004, she crowned her sister Justine, also a Kapa‘a High School graduate, to make pageant history.
Alicia Michioka Jones holds bachelor’s degrees in advertising and journalism from Hawai‘i Pacific University and is currently the vice president for Arbonne International Skin Care/Cosmetics. She also is a pageant coach and director.
Following her experience of being abducted at the age of 20, Michioka Jones’ platform is missing and exploited children and the prevention of child abuse.
Chelsey Macias was named the first runner-up with Michelle Falk the second runner-up. Third runner-up was Paige Shimamoto, and Patricia Tavares was awarded the fourth runner-up crown.
Jeff and Alicia Jones have one child, Brock, 3.
