Doreen, an avid Jackson fan, was on vacation in Joliette, Ind., when Jackson passed and got to see the home before everyone else got there.
Bob McNamara of Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity was checking out some of the power equipment for sale, and Carolyn Lum (charity doubles tennis coming at the end of the month) found a harmonica. Only Peter Rayno and Ernie Domingo kept looking around for something to buy.
Hats off to Wendy Gonsalves and Gary Ueunten who worked with Karen Kuba-Hori to make this year’s Warabi Ashibi happen. Arnold Fujii was there, and the only one missing was Bernie Sakoda, who Karen said was busy with other things this year.
Lyle Ueunten is busy helping the young students learn the Okinawa taiko and the good stuff takes place when the students host their parents for lunch.
