With less-than-stellar weather hitting the North Shore in recent weeks, the sunshine was a welcome sight at Saturday’s Irons Brothers Pine Trees Keiki Surf Classic as the groms and grommets hit the waves and took home some prizes for their efforts. Bruce Irons (center) hosted the event, while brother Andy was still down in Australia training, now back as a full-time competitor on the Association of Surfing Professionals tour. Terry Lilley of www.saveourseas.org took HD video of the day to compile a movie, which will be shown at 6 p.m., Friday night in the old boat house by the Hanalei pier.
