Jean Nakamura
Jean M. Nakamura died Jan. 6, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 87. Born on Jan. 3, 1923, in Tetsu-gan, Korea, she was a Japanese interpreter with Kaua‘i Island Tours.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Nakamura.
She is survived by her sons John (Cynthia Bloom) Nakamura of Kapa‘a, Jack (Terese) Nakamura of Kapa‘a and Jim Nakamura of Wailua Houselots; daughters Jane Perreira of Wailua Houselots and JoAnn (John) Howard of Ojai, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister Kiyoka Yokota of Japan.

Linda Pasadava
Linda Jean Saloka-Pasadava of Kilauea died Jan. 24, 2010, in India at age 58. Born on Aug. 23, 1951, in St. Paul, Minn., she was a wedding planner.
She is survived by her husband Chadwyn Pasadava of Kilauea; dog Pixie Li; parents Len and Shirley Saloka of St. Paul, Minn.; sister Sioux Saloka of New York; hanai sisters, friends, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 9 a.m., Mass at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 13, at St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church in Kilauea.
Casual attire is suggested.

James Phillips
James “Jim” Douglas Phillips of Kapa‘a died Jan. 31, 2010, at his home at age 39. Born Dec. 31, 1970, in Athens, Tenn., he was a retired owner of Phillips Language Services in Brno, Czech Republic.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jane Fox, Carl Fox, Jack Phillips and Cora Lee Phillips.
He is survived by his mother Sharlene (Vince) Bohannon of Nashville, Tenn.; father Douglas (Dawn) Phillips of Sweetwater, Tenn.; half-brother Drew Phillips of Sweetwater, Tenn.; and caregivers Lori, Ivo and Jordan Miller of Kapa‘a.
A private service will be announced at a later date. Donations may be made to Kaua‘i Hospice, 4457 Pahe‘e St., Lihu‘e, Hawai‘i, 96766.

Scott Chatterley
Scott Randall Chatterley of Wailua died Feb. 2, 2010, at his home at age 57. Born on Dec. 29, 1952, in Boston, Mass., he was the owner of Construction Supply of Hawai‘i.
He was preceded in death by his parents Archie and Marj Chatterley.
He is survived by his wife Malia Chatterley of Kaua‘i; sons Jason Chatterley of California, Ryan Chatterley of O‘ahu and Kalani (Mary) Duhaylongsod of Kaua‘i; sisters Carol (Richard) Sears of O‘ahu and Susan (Roger) Greer of Arizona; and one grandchild.
Memorial service at 4 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 13, at Kalapaki Beach Park. Scattering of ashes to follow.

Tranquilina “Helen” Rivera Lorenzo of Kalaheo died Jan. 5, 2010, at her home at age 79. Born on July 5, 1930, in Makaweli, she was a sales clerk for ‘Ele‘ele Big Save.
She is survived by her sons Juan P. (Gail) Lorenzo Jr. of Kalaheo and Melvin D. (Cyndee) Lorenzo of Honolulu; daughter Cynthia L. (Dan) Albosta of Carlsbad, Calif.; grandchildren Kevin Lorenzo of Honolulu, Celeste Lorenzo of Seattle, Wash., Megan and Bradley Nelmida of Kalaheo, Jessica Greenwalt of Berkeley, Calif., Derek Albosta of Carlsbad, Calif., Mason and Mari Lorenzo of Hanapepe and Klohe Lorenzo of Honolulu; numerous great-grandchildren.
