Kaua‘i Community Children’s Council presents a Free Workshop in Internet Awareness featuring special guest: Chris Duque, retired Honolulu Police Department White Collar Crime Unit, Cybercrime Investigations and Computer Forensics. Registration at 5:15 p.m. in the conference room A and B at 4444 Rice St.
Do you know what to do if your child is experiencing: Cyber bullying, cyber threats, sex predators, sexting, invasion of privacy? These are the topics Chris Duque addresses with his direct approach to show how on-line and off-line activities are tied to one another, have dire consequences and that the decisions children make on-line are irreversible.

This will probably be an eye opener to many parents who were not raised with a computer in the house.
Science Fair

Kukui Grove Shopping Center
Approximately 70 student projects are on exhibit for the Dept. of Education’s Kaua‘i District Science Fair. Judging of the student projects is Feb. 11. The Kaua‘i science community provides volunteer judges who use rigorous criteria which includes a student interview regarding their project. Emphasis is on how students perceive their project impacting our environment and our lives.
