HONOLULU — Volunteers on Kaua‘i responded in the early morning Wednesday to assist a family of five who lost their home in Lihu‘e, according to a press release from the Hawai‘i State Chapter of the American Red Cross. One family member was sent to a hospital on O‘ahu for burn care.
The Red Cross is aiding this family with temporary housing, food, clothing and other household goods. The Red Cross will continue to work with this family on their continuing unmet needs, the release states.
