National Tropical Botanical Garden hosted a Winter Fine Art Festival on Dec. 19 at the Southshore Visitors Center Meadow.
The Women Artists of Kaua‘i displayed and sold their original, gallery-quality art works, reproductions, and ornaments. The artists are an eclectic group of women committed to helping with fundraising, a news release states.
Guitarist Dr. Matthew Miller, harpist Anela, and blues musician Blue Dux were also present to serenade the crowd. Sandy from The Right Slice offered an enticing variety of her delicious, homemade pies to the delight of the attendees, the release says.
The Women Artists of Kaua‘i donated a portion of the proceeds from this event to benefit NTBG, resulting in a gift of $625 given to Nani, event coordinator.
Upon receipt of the artists’ donation, Nani said, “We look forward to this bi-annual event and really appreciate the willingness, generosity, and energy that this talented group of women produce.”
The Right Slice also contributed to NTBG. In addition, a box designated for the Toys for Tots was filled at the Festival.
Participating artists included Helen Turner, Dava Shepherd, Aweepano Vivian Satow, Robin McCoy, Marionette, Anna Skaradzinska, Schar Freeman, Emily Miller, Lilian de Mello, Patrice Pendarvis, Jana Viles, and Leslie Tribolet.
