LIHU‘E — Micah Efhan scored both of his team’s goals to lead Pohaku to a 2-0 win over the Westside Falcons in the Under 10 division of the Kaua‘i Soccer Association, Sunday.
That win puts Pohaku at 7-1-1 and 22 points in the standings while the Falcons U10 drop just behind to 7-2 and 21 points.
In other action, Galen Agtunong netted a pair of scores and Vincent Altomare added one of his own to lead the Westside Pride to a 3-1 edge over the Blazing Angels, which got its goal from Tyra Alao.
With the win, Westside Pride improves to 5-4 and 15 points, placing them in third place in the standings with the Blazing Angels moving to 2-6-1 and seven points.
April Barnes finished with a hat trick to lead the Extreme Strikers to a 3-1 edge over Team Chikara, which got its goal from Bryanna Perreira.
The Strikers are just a point behind Westside Pride at 4-3-2 and 14 points while Team Chikara is 0-9.
The Westside Falcons U12, a 1-0 winner over the GIFC-BU12, leads the Under 12 division with an 8-0-1 record and 25 points.
Lokahi won a 4-0 match over Team Motiv-8.
That puts Lokahi at 7-1-1 and 22 points for second place while Team Motiv-8 drops to 0-8-1.
The Kaua‘i Sparks edged out the Kilauea Kilas 1-0, to finish the week in third place at 4-3-2 and 14 points, followed by the GIFC-BU12 at 3-4-2 and 11 points.
Davin Garma finished with a hat trick to lead the GIFC-BU14 to a 9-0 win over the Kapa‘a Warriors in the Under 14 division.
That win keeps the GIFC-BU14 in the lead at 7-0-1 and 22 points.
The KSC-Blazing Angels U14 were a 2-1 winner over Hawaiian Heat to finish the week at 3-3-2 and 11 points, a point short of Hawaiian Heat’s 3-2-3 record and 12 points.
Haaheo Kaua‘i continues its undefeated record with a 6-2 win over the GIFC-BU16, finishing the week at 7-0-1 and 22 points. GIFC-BU16 is 0-7-1 and a point.
