Linda Louise Deringer Watts of Kapa‘a died Oct. 1, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 61. Born on Sept. 12, 1948, in Santa Monica, Calif., she was an independent artist.
She is survived by her husband Peter Watts of Kapa‘a; children Guy (Heather) Blanchard of California, Lea Watts, Nohealani Watts and John “Dana” (Cassie) Watts all of Kapa‘a; parents Kenneth and Jeannie Deringer of California; brother Brian (Nani) Schwartz of Colorado; three grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece and nephew.
Services will be held at a later date.

Alexander Kelekoma Sr.
Alexander “Alika” Manioki Kelekoma Sr. of Lihu‘e died Sept. 30, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 72. Born on July 21, 1937, in Hanama‘ulu, he serviced heavy equipment for Grove Farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin and Luella Kelekoma, daughter Luella Eino and brother Franklin Lono.
He is survived by his wife Tomie Kelekoma; sons Alexander (Becky) Kelekoma Jr., Bryan (Jocelyn) Kelekoma, Kevin (Linda) Kelekoma, Kelly (Cindy) Kelekoma, Kyle (Jonalen) Kelekoma; daughters Alicia Ann Kelekoma, Lori Ann (Robin) Troche, Jolynn (Benny) Galiza, Kuulei Kelekoma-Cardinez, Karla (Francis) Shimabukuro, Kim (Philip) Banquel; brothers Clay (Leonora) Kelekoma Sr., Ainsley (Linda) Kelekoma, David (Christine) Kelekoma; sisters Luella (Gilbert) Moniz, Darlene (Al) Oshiro; 33 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m., service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-Day Saints in Lihu‘e. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens. Casual and aloha attire is requested.

Robert Pestana
Robert Francis Pestana of Kihei died Sept. 22, 2009, at Hale Makua in Wailuku at age 81. Born on April 2, 1928, in Waihee, Maui, he retired as a business owner of Bob’s Equipment Sales and Rentals in Honolulu.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Pestana; sons Brian (Lisa) Pestana and John (Roberta) Pestana; daughter Jamie DeBrunner; six grandchildren; one hanai grandchild; one great-grandchild; brother Martin Pestana and sister Veronica Souza.
Visitation from 10 to 10:30 a.m., service at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 10, at St. Ann’s Church in Waihee, Maui. Reception to follow at St. Ann’s Hall. A celebration of life will be held again on O‘ahu on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Sand Box new motor cross track on Sand Island at 5 p.m.
