LIHU‘E — The Westside Falcons, a 3-1 winner over the Westside Pride, and Pohaku, taking a 6-0 win over Team Chikara, are tied for the lead in the Under 10 division of the Kaua‘i Soccer Association following the second week of play, Sunday.
The Westside Falcons 10s and Pohaku both sport 2-0-0 records and 6 points each while the Westside Pride falls to 1-1-0 and 3 points.
The Blazing Angels 10 and the Extreme Strikers battled to a 1-1 stalemate Sunday, and fill in the fourth berth in a tie at 0-1-1 and a point each. Team Chikara falls to 0-2-0.
Lokahi beat the Kaua‘i Sparks 5-0, and the Westside Falcons 12s were 3-1 winners over Team Motiv-8 in the Under 12 division.
Those wins give Pohaku and the Westside Falcons 12s identical 2-0-0 records and 6 points each.
The GIFC-BU12 and the Kilauea Kilas battled to a 0-0 stalemate for third place in the standings at 0-1-1 and a point each.
The GIFC-BU14, a coed team, improved to 2-0 following a 7-0 showing over the Kapa‘a Warriors in the Under 14 division games.
Hawaiian Heat, a winner over the Warriors last week, battled the Blazing Angels 14s to a 1-1 deadlock to take second place in the standings with a 1-1-1 record and 4 points.
GIFC-BU14 sits at the top berth with a 2-0-0 record and six points followed by the Blazing Angels 14s in third at 0-1-1 and a point. Kapa‘a Warriors are at 0-2-0.
Ha‘aheo Kaua‘i picked up its second win, 3-1 over the GIFC-BU16 to lead the Under 16 division at 2-0-0 and six points while the GIFC-BU16 are 0-2-0.
