Sharon McHenry
Sharon Ethel McHenry died Aug. 9, 2009, at Garden Isle Health Care at age 67. She was born on Dec. 2, 1941, in Monterey Park, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her father Wayne Fix and brother Timothy Fix.
She is survived by her mother Alice Fix; sisters Martha (Michael) McHenry, Joanne (Terry) Frewer and Liane (Bradley) Carter; numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Parvati Sabaratnam
Parvati Sabaratnam of Pepeekeo died Aug. 29, 2009, at her home at age 67. Born in Tennessee, she retired as a waitress for the Kona Surf and King Kamehameha hotels.
She is survived by her daughters Sarasvati Crider of Mountain View and Debbie Brett of California; sons Varuna (Rhonda) Sabaratnam of Pahoa and Bobby Brett of California; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her church.

Alexandra Maria Cacabelos of Puhi died Sept. 2, 2009, at age 67. Born on Oct. 22, 1942, in Maui, she retired as a teacher’s aid at Wilcox Elementary School.
She is survived by her husband Avelardo Cacabelos Sr.; daughters Francine (Sergio) Asuncion, Lewella (Eddie) Lopez, Dorene (Harold) Asuncion, Amy (Eddie) Sarfine; sons Avelardo Cacabelos Jr. and Ashley Cacabelos; sisters Virgie (Raymond) Fargardo and Linda Paden; brother Vincent Freitas; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service at 10 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 11, at Kaua‘i Veterans Pavilion in Hanapepe. Inurnment to follow.
Laurice Kawahalau
Laurice Kawahalau of Hanapepe died Aug. 20, 2009, at Straub Hospital at age 35. Born on Oct. 26, 1973, in Hawai‘i, she was a housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Dotimas, daughter Sierra Kawahalau, grandma Anna Lee Abreu and grandfather Antonio Dotimas.
She is survived by her husband Wally “Kai” Kawahalau; daughters Chalani, Cherie and Rochelle “Chelly” Kawahalau; sons Wally “Kaiboy” Jr. and Wailani Kawahalau; hanai daughter Kacee Kanahele; mother Jean Abreu; sisters Sheri (Wesley Kishida) Apilado, Azua (Kevin Kanahele) Dotimas, Carlie (Winna “Ike”) Kaohelaulii; brother Walter Dotimas; grandfather Walter Abreu and grandmother Helen Kualu Dotimas; numerous uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, and again from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa. Burial to follow on Sept. 12 at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery.
Hanzs Martins
Hanzs Kaulana Martins of Kapa‘a died Aug. 23, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 61. Born on April 4, 1948, in Lihu‘e, he was a retired police sergeant.
He is survived by his wife Bernadine “Koerte” Martins; daughter Lisa (Scott) Yamaguchi; grandchildren Camryn and Rhys Yamaguchi; parents Jacob Kolae and Theresa “Ornellas” Martins; brothers Jacob (Sue) Martins Jr. and Christopher Keoni (Kuulei) Martins; sister Erika Martins; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation from 8:30 to 10 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 12, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. Scattering of ashes will be private. Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.

Allan “Otto” Miike of Lihu‘e died Sept. 1, 2009, at age 70. Born Feb. 17, 1939, in Hanalei, he was a retired Counselor with the Department of Education.
He is survived by his wife Elsie Miike of Lihu‘e; daughter Tricia (Aaron) Won of Pearl City; mother Doris Miike of Kilauea; brothers Russel (Jean) Miike of LaPalma, Calf., Jack (Janice) Miike of Aiea and Stanford (Izumi) Miike of Honolulu; granddaughters Taylor and Ashley Won of Pearl City.
Visitation from 9-10:30 a.m., a celebration of life to follow, at Lihu‘e Missionary Church. Aloha attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.

Camilo Augusto Andrade del Castillo died Sept. 1, 2009, at age 64. Born on Nov. 30, 1944, in Bogota, Colombia, he was a land surveyor and a member of the Kaua‘i Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons.
He is survived by his wife Rosa D. Andrade; children Camilo II, Robert, Jaime, Isadora and Alexander; sisters Cecilia (Enrique Rodriquez) Andrade, Olga (Joaquin Tassara) Andrade and Consuelo Andrade; brothers Rafael (Celenia) Andrade and Jaime (Carmen Sofia) Andrade; nieces Silvia, Luisa, Daniela, Olga, Pilar, Marta, Cecilia, Patricia and Monica; nephews Enrique, Jaime, Mauricio, Rafael, Gonzalo, Jymmy, George, Johny, Jaime and Robert.
A celebration of life will be held at Pacific Beach Resort on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m.

Elizabeth M. “Lee” Correa died Aug. 22, 2009, in Kane‘ohe, Hawai‘i, at age 96. Born on Dec. 26, 1912, in Kilauea, Kaua‘i, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her sons Robert (Mitsuko) of Japan, George (Janet) of Wahiawa, Herbert (Thelma) and Wallace (Shirley) of Honolulu; daughter Elizabeth (Fumio) Eguchi of Miami, Fla.; stepchildren Gilbert Jr., Clyde Correa and Patsy Ortiz; sisters Hilda Silva and Caroline Kuret; 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation at 9:30 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 17, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Kekaha, Kaua‘i. Burial to follow at Kekaha Cemetery.
