Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School will be conducting its annual evacuation practice at 8:15 a.m., Sept. 4, according to a news release.

This drill will involved the evacuation of some 1,000 individuals down Nuhou Road, veering onto Pikake Street, ending at the back parking lot of Kmart. The Kaua‘i Police Department will be assisting school leaders with the evacuation drill to help ensure safety. Students are encouraged to bring bottled water and comfortable footwear that day.
