LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Police Department on Tuesday continued its investigation into the death of 27-year-old Lauren Kagawa, who was found early Monday outside her Puhi home.
Chief Darryl Perry said Tuesday night at around 9 p.m. that KPD officers had been working with doctors earlier in the day, but said he had not been notified of any findings.
In an afternoon e-mail, Perry told The Garden Island the autopsy was scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. and could take between three and five hours.
On Monday, county officials said foul play is suspected but classified the incident as an unattended death pending the findings of the autopsy.
