Congratulations to the Kaua‘i High School football program on collecting more than 200 pounds of food during its Red-and-White game last week. That total came courtesy of Kelvin Moniz who couldn’t make the game, but got the totals from Michelle Panoke.
Actually, Kelvin was at the East Kaua‘i Lions Club meeting where Sonya Tupou (don’t recognize her without her uniforms), Iwi Ka‘auwai and Kevin Akiyama (mom works at FM97) were presented scholarships, and Janice Bond said Diane Kent was going to be installed as the first lady president for the EK Lions in the club’s 71 years.
Hats off to Mia Ako (Gerald missed a really good Broncos Sectional), Matty Yoshioka, Ed Nakaya and all those hard-workers who put on the Robotics Expo, Saturday!
Congratulations are in order to coach (manager?) Destry Iseri-Carvalho and the Lihu‘e Bronco All-Stars on the great comeback for the win.
Dondi Viquelia and his PONY crew now get ready for the Mustang playoffs that start Tuesday in Lihu‘e.
Coach Larry Ephan and mom Sherry Ephan had to be at the park to watch Brock in action — those Ephan kids are really beginning to blossom. All of that comes courtesy of Arthur Brun who did a great job on the microphone.
