Lyn Carson and Katy Reis of Waimanalo, O‘ahu teamed up to take top honors in the top division of the 14th Annual Doubles Horseshoe Pitching tournament over the weekend.
Carson and Reis bested Myrtlemay Kamoku and Keoni Frias for the honor, Kamoku hailing from Anahola and Frias coming from Waiana‘e, O‘ahu.
Third place in the top division went to Lopaka Kamoku of Anahola who teamed with Jesse Colon of ‘Ai‘ea, O‘ahu and Kim Lindstead and “Uncle Dede” Kealoha of Kaua‘i’s North Shore taking the fourth place.
Howard Kamoku of Anahola teamed with Sam Lum of Kaneohe, O‘ahu to take top honors in the bottom division followed by Bobo Maricio and Ivan Graham of Ewa Beach, O‘ahu, filling in the runner-up slot. Myron Kamoku of Anahola teamed with Sherwood Carson of Waimanalo to secure the third berth and Kimo and Sam David of Waimanalo rounding out the leaderboard.
Myrtlemay Kamoku said the tournament was great and very competitive, but everyone had a lot of fun.
