HANAPEPE — Hanapepe Public Library and the book drop will close beginning on Monday for parking lot expansion and other site improvement projects.
The library, located on Kaumuali‘i Highway on the Westside, will be closed for approximately one month. Passport applications will not be accepted during this time, a news release announced Monday.
An announcement will be made when the library is scheduled to reopen and the public is invited to participate in the 2009 Summer Reading Programs.
Patrons may visit other Kaua‘i public libraries should they need library services or to return items: Waimea Public Library (338-6848), Koloa Public and School Library (742-8455), Lihu‘e Public Library (241-3222), Kapa‘a Public Library (821-4422), or Princeville Public Library (826-4310).
Patrons can visit the HSPLS Web site at www.librarieshawaii.org from their home or office computer for library closure updates, and to browse the HSPLS Catalog for book titles, eBooks, digital audio books, EBSCOhost (features a wide variety of online databases), which provides full-text materials from magazines, newspapers, journals, and other publications.
