PRINCEVILLE — Residents and visitors are wondering when the St. Regis Resort will be making its grand opening in Princeville.
In the months since Princeville Resort closed its doors in September 2008 to undergo renovations and re-brand as part of the Starwood Hotels and Resorts luxury series, little has been said with regards to the latest happenings.
Originally, the intention was to reopen April 19, less than a month away, but according to the St. Regis Web site, reservations are not being accepted until July1.
The Princeville Resort renovation reportedly involved a complete transformation of the 252-room hotel, including a redesign of guest rooms and meeting function space, renovated public areas such as the lobby and swimming pool, new restaurant concepts and the addition of an on-site luxury spa.
Despite repeated requests for information, the hotel’s public relations department provided no comment as of press time.
The Garden Island will update the community as soon as a definitive answer is relayed.
