Leonard Rapozo
Leonard “Leo” Aloysius Rapozo Sr. of Lihu‘e died Feb. 3, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 67. Born July 27, 1941, in Lihu‘e, he was a retired Tech Sgt. with 150 ACWS, superintendent for Grove Farm Rock Company, bus driver for Hertz, office clerk with Kauai Freight Service, owner of Leo’s Ice House, longtime football official and police commissioner.
He is survived by wife Laola Rapozo; son Lenny (Janine) Rapozo of Lihu‘e; daughters Alison (Kekane) Pa of Lihu‘e, Jewel (Lionel) Asai of Lihu‘e and Monica (Dana) Fatu of Ewa Beach, O‘ahu; grandchildren Machaela, Kelsen, Daniel, Sarah, Samantha, Pua, Reiko, Karla, Daisy and Madison; great-grandchildren Kaili and Kealohi; brothers Stephen “Khaki” Rapozo of Lihu‘e and Gerald (Rosie) Rapozo of Wailua; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 8-10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, at Immaculate Conception Church; service begins at 10 a.m. Burial at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.
Aloha attire is suggested.

Namiko Matsuura
Namiko Ueoka Matsuura of Manoa and Honolulu died Jan. 31, 2009, at O‘ahu Care Facility. Born July 19, 1920, in Hanapepe, she was retired from Bank of Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by husband Richard N. Matsuura.
She is survived by son Ronald Matsuura, daughter Diane Lam and four grandchildren.
Visitation from 5-6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, at Mililani Mortuary downtown, 20 South Kukui St. (808-538-6207). Service at 6 p.m.
Private burial at Nuuanu Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested.

Hatsue Sakoda
Hatsue Sakoda of Hilo died Feb. 4, 2009, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center at age 90. Born Nov. 11, 1918, in Papaaloa, Hawai‘i, she retired from Hilo Hospital.
She is survived by sons Ronald (Betsy) Sakoda of Lihu‘e and Ernest (Gerry) Sakoda of Waipahu, Hawai‘i; daughters Beatrice (Charles) Iwata of Pearl City, Hawai‘i, Gladys (James) Harada of Hilo and Betsy (Allen) Uyematsu of Lihu‘e; sisters Sueko (Tsukasa) Kori of Hilo and Hidemi Nakamoto of Honolulu; sister-in-law Sue Kamei of Kaneohe, Hawai‘i; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo; service at 10:30 a.m.
Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery.
