The Department of Transportation announced possible traffic delays due to improvement work between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, due to the following ongoing projects:
Kuhio Highway
• North of Kilauea Town at the Kolo Road intersection for intersection improvements. Temporary traffic signals that have been in place will be removed. Traffic lights at the intersection have been placed in flashing mode to warn motorists of the change. Drivers are reminded to proceed through the intersection with caution.
• In Anahola, near the Pili Mai Ke Kai subdivision between Anahola Road and Kukuihale Road for paving operations. Completion of this project is anticipated by the end of January projects 2009:
Waiolo Road
• Single lane closures on Waialo Road in both directions on Monday January 26, through Friday January 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., daily for pavement resurfacing. The project is ongoing and anticipated to be complete by the end of May 2009
