One of the country’s leading woodwind quintets will be offering a free community outreach concert on Tuesday at the Kaua‘i Community College Performing Arts Center.
The Honolulu Symphony’s Chamber Music ensemble “Spring Winds” will perform a free concert at 7 p.m.
Reservations for the concert are not required and seating is open for the event.
The Spring Wind Quintet has been a major force in the development of chamber music in Hawai‘i with many new works being composed and arranged especially for the Spring Winds Quintet, a press release states.
The group has an extensive and varied repertoire, earning several national grants and offers educational programs for all ages.
This event is being co-sponsored by the Larry L. McIntosh Music Scholarship Association, a nonprofit organization that grants scholarships to high school seniors who plan to continue their music studies in college.
Donations will be accepted for the benefit of the scholarship fund.
