Lihu‘e’s Nancy Burton beat the panel for the second week in a row with 10 out of 13.
“I can’t believe. It was a fun, fun weekend and I’m shocked,” she said, going on to list which games were her favorite last weekend.
Last week, Burton was a dual winner, beating the panel and later being randomly selected to join the panel. Burton, though, did not win with the ballot cast for the panel, but for another one of the seven she’d submitted.
(Remember, you can submit as many as you like to play.)
When asked what she’d do if she were to beat the panel for a third consecutive week, Burton chuckled and responded: “I don’t know, they’ll probably run me out of Lihu‘e.”
But she’s got competition this time from Pedro Tagatac, also of Lihu‘e. Tagatac makes it onto the panel for a second time this Frenzy. He was one of the first guests to join the panel this year.
I (8-5, 62-42) extended my lead by coming out on top again, beating Richard Stein (7-6, 53-51) and Ron Wiley (7-6, 58-46). I’m only up four games with four weeks still to play so I suppose it’s still anyone’s game.
I have a feeling our trap games will be the Hawai‘i/New Mexico State game and the Buffalo/New England game.
