Donald Bland
Donald “Bruce” Bland died Sept. 23, 2008, at his home in Claremore, Okla., at the age of 44. He was born Feb. 28, 1964, in Claremore.
He was preceded in death by parents Charles “Cecil” Bland and Geneva Bland and brother Joseph Gary Bland.
He is survived by wife Lorraine Bland; son Jake Bland of Claremore, Okla.; daughter Brooke Lynn Feilder of Tulsa, Okla.; sisters Bonnee Blue (Jim) Pierson of Pryor, Okla., Jayne Anne (Billy) Topper; brother Charles Cecil (Tina) Bland II; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the home of friends Brian and Malia Bramel in Kapa‘a. For more information, call 651-4362.

Mabel Okashige
Mabel “Aunty Lani” Okashige of Kapa‘a died Sept. 27, 2008, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 74. Born May 19, 1934, in Hilo, Hawai‘i, she retired as the cafeteria manager at St. Catherine School after more than 20 years of service.
She was preceded in death by husband Donald J. P. Okashige.
She is survived by children Charlene K. Sismar of O‘ahu, Donnette K. Lane of O‘ahu, Chandra K. Kinney of California, Francine M. (Calvin) Ahinga of O‘ahu and Donald I. R. (Colleen) Okashige of O‘ahu; brothers John (Geri) Lovediro of O‘ahu and William Viernes of the Big Island; brothers-in-law Harris (Judy) Okashige of Las Vegas, Nev., and Obed (Judy) Okashige of O‘ahu; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will begin with viewing from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, at St. Catherine Church; Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Aloha attire is suggested and the family graciously declines flowers.

Cyrus Lee Prem died Sept. 27, 2008, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 27, 2008, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by parents Mikey and Desiree Prem; sister Rhylee Prem; brother Caleb Melling; grandparents Cresanto Tangonan, Maria Prem and Philip and Marlene Eliana Jr.; great-grandparents Semie Tangonan, James “Sparky” and Ramona Prem, Philip Eliana Sr. and Mauro Valvieja; and numerous aunties, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa where services to follow. Burial to follow at Lihu‘e Cemetery.
