Kenny has been going crazy at the Ono Family Restaurant since he started doing the saimin thingie (Uncle Jerry Kaneholani still doing the won tun?), but still has time to work on the Coconut Festival. But, he said more on that after the powwow later this month.
Cathy Simao has been another of the partners working on the coaching film with the Kapa‘a Business Association.
Speaking of which, Greg Gonsalves has been busy since Kapa‘a got to host both KIF volleyball games this week and even the air riflery matches, Thursday. Kekai Gonsalves is growing up and was even helping watch the door at Wednesday’s game.
Lisa Iida (remember her from community basketball?) is learning how to do volleyball scorekeeping, now. She was helping Teresa Bukoski at the scorer’s table (didn’t need rosters that night).
Russell Grady had his entire ‘ohana at the games since he has daughters in both the JV and varsity program, and Keith Sugihara had one of those Costco camera specials to get volleyball pix (no flash allowed, people!).
OK, it’s off to the Westside for some Pop Warner, cross country and maybe the finish of the Kendall Pacific Sailing Canoe Race.
