The word ‘onipa‘a means “to stand firm, be steadfast, immovable, established, resolute or determined.” The history of this statement dates back to the greatest adversity the islands have known — when Queen Lili‘uokalani was removed from her throne. She appealed to a higher authority believing she would be rescued. With all eyes on her, she encouraged her people — ‘onipa‘a.
Fern Nichols, founder and president of Moms In Touch International will be the keynote speaker of this conference.
