Bridge clubs announce results

The Sunrise Club plays at 9 a.m. every Thursday (Open Game) at the Community Building in Princeville. The club welcomes North Shore visitors and part-time vacationers. For playing partners or information, call Lolita at 826-6805.

Results for Thursday’s sanctioned game are: First, Lolita Horney and Charlie Herbert; Second, Judy and RC Smith.

The Sunset Club plays at 1 p.m. every Saturday (Open Game) at the Community Building in Princeville. This long-established club is convenient and conducts friendly and competitive play for all island players.

The club recognized new ACBL directors Lolita Horney, Loring Harkness, Bill Georgi and Judy Smith who all completed required courses and exams.

The club also honored Lolita on her birthday with a delicious sponsored luncheon.

Results for Saturday’s sanctioned event are: First, RC and Judy Smith; Second, Doug McCalla and Lolita Horney.

The North Shore and Poalua Bridge Clubs meet every Thursday at Sun Village Club House behind Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihu‘e.

The games start promptly at 9 a.m. and visitors are enthusiastically welcomed by club members. This is the oldest bridge club on island. For more information or to find a partner, call Jane Nearing Go at 826-9753 or Betty Moore at 245-1994.
