Bridge clubs announce weekly results

The Sunrise Club plays at 9 a.m. every Thursday (Open Game) at the Community Building in Princeville. The club welcomes North Shore visitors and part-time vacationers.

Results for Thursday’s sanctioned game are: First (tie), Colonel and Betty Carroll, Charlie Herbert and Lolita Horney.

The Sunset Club plays at 1 p.m. every Saturday (Open Game) at the Community Building in Princeville.

This long-established club is convenient and conducts friendly and competitive play for all island players.

Results for Saturday’s sanctioned event are: First, Loring Harkness and Doug McCalla; Second, Dick Shen and Dotty Nakea.

Members of and visitors to the Poalua and North Shore Bridge Clubs play at 9 a.m. every Thursday at Sun Village behind Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Poalua is the oldest bridge club on the island and visitors are always welcome to play.

Results for the Thursday game are: First (three-way tie), Sheila Honeywell and Patti Moore, Dottie Nakea and Dick Shen, and Pat Burgess and Loukas Fytros.

Results for the July 17 bridge party and luncheon at the Regency at Puakea are: First, Lil Riley and Debbie Byrnes; Second, Jane Nearing Go and Betty Moore; Third, Dottie Nakea and Dick Shen.

Results for the July 10 three-table Howell game are: First, Evelyn Laureta and Lydia Odo; Second, Al and Patty Ficker; Third, Pat Burgess and Loukas Fytros.

Members of the Ka Haku o Hawai‘i Bridge Club play the second and fourth Mondays of every month.

The games start promptly at 9 a.m. and visitors are especially welcome.
