The Kaua‘i Visitors Bureau’s “Take Your Daughter to the Course Week” started on Monday and will end on Sunday.
Six golf courses around the island will be offering free clinics, lessons or rounds of golf to girls and young ladies, with a paying adult throughout the week.
This opportunity is part of an initiative by “Play Golf America” and the National Golf Course Owners Association. Since the program began nine years ago, hundreds of thousands of girls and families have participated nationwide. July is designated as Family Golf Month by the PGA of America.
“Interest in golf among girls and women has increased greatly in recent years,” said KVB Executive Director, Sue Kanoho in a release. “This is a great way to sustain that momentum and give them additional opportunities to enjoy the game.”
Following is what each of the aforementioned Kaua‘i courses offer during “Take Your Daughter to the Course Week:”
