Kekaha defeated Kapa‘a 11-5 in the first of two games played at Hanapepe Stadium, Sunday.
Then the Hanapepe Cubs edged out Lihu‘e 2, 13-12, while at Vidinha Stadium, Lihu‘e 1’s won over Waimea, 10-1.
This is the second consecutive weekend that Lihu‘e 2 played a close game.
Last week, the Lihu‘e 2 redshirts dropped 9-8 to Kekaha at Kalawai Park when one of its two runs that crossed on a passed ball late in the game was disallowed.
Kalawai, who was the winner over Kekaha, Thursday, drew the bye.
Lihu‘e 1, battling to a 4-4 tie with Kalawai last week in a time limit contest, picked up its winning ways with the Sunday victory
Play continues tomorrow when Kalawai meets the Hanapepe Cubs at Hanapepe Stadium. Kekaha will travel to the Waimea Canyon Park for a matchup against Waimea and Lihu‘e 2 heads the New Kapa‘a Town Park for a game against Kapa‘a. All games start at 4:15 p.m.
