Thursday rain affects PONY baseball

Rain Thursday afternoon postponed one game and suspended one game in the PONY baseball league.

The afternoon deluge forced the postponement of the match between Lihu‘e 1 and Lihu‘e 2 at Vidinha Stadium until May 27.

In Hanapepe Stadium, the matchup between Hanapepe and Waimea was tied 3-3 when the rains suspended play. That game will also continue on May 27.

Kalawai was a 22-2 win over Kekaha out on the Westside.

Tomorrow’s action will have Lihu‘e 1 hosting Waimea in a single game starting at 10 a.m.

Kapa‘a will match up with Kekaha in the first game of a double-header at Hanapepe Stadium. That game will start at 10 a.m. and will be followed by Lihu‘e 2 going up against the Hanapepe Cubs.

There is no admission fee to view the competition.
