Flag football signups start April 1
The Kaua‘i Police Activities League will start registering for its flag football and cheerleading season.
Boys and girls between the ages of 5 to 17 years old are invited to sign up.
Registration will be taken from April 1 through April 11 at all of the Big Save and Menehune Food Mart locations from Kekaha to Hanalei.
Popo’s Cookies in Kapa‘a is an additional registration site.
K-PAL officials stress that no late applications will be accepted so parents and players are urged to be prompt in filling in their applications.
Application forms will be available at Popo’s Cookies, or at any of the Big Save and Menehune Food Mart locations island-wide.
Once the application forms are filled out, players and parents can drop them off at collection boxes at the stores.
Registration fees can be paid by checks or money orders. No cash will be accepted, KPAL officials said.
The 2008 flag football season starts in early May and ends in mid-July and KPAL is also looking for individuals interested in coaching teams.
Application forms for coaching positions are also available at the Big Save, Menehune Food Mart and Popo’s Cookies locations.
