Stanford W. Vierra
Stanford W. Vierra of Anahola passed away on Feb. 17, 2008, at the age of 45. Born and raised in Lanikai, Hawai‘i, he was a pipe fitter with Goodfellow Const. Co.
He is survived by sons Stanton Vierra and Marcus Vierra; daughter Lanikai Vierra; mother Joyce Vierra; brothers Stanley Vierra Jr., Roy Vierra, Roland Vierra and Joaquin Vierra; sisters Stacy Farias and Joy Vierra; and numerous aunts uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, at Hawaiian Memorial Park. The scattering of ashes will be held at noon on Friday, March 7, at Lanikai Pavillion Beach Park.
Mercedes Yoro Serra Fabro
Farewell to Mama Fabro. Mercedes Yoro Serra Fabro died Feb. 14, 2008, at Garden Isle Health Care at the age of 97. She was born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on Sept. 24, 1910, and retired as a teacher for adult education for citizenship on the island of Maui. She was a former president of the Filipino Catholic Club, co-owner of restaurants in Maui and Honolulu, and was owner of Fabro Care Home in Hanama‘ulu.
She is survived by her son, Danny Serra of Lihu‘e; daughter Mildred (Mike) Jakubec of Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers Paul Yoro of Mililani, Alejandro Yoro of Honolulu, David (Marty) Yoro of Tennessee; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A “Farewell to Mama Fabro” celebration will be held on March 8 at Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation with the family will begin and 8 a.m. and mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
The family requests aloha attire.

Steffen J. Greenly
Steffen J. Greenly died on Feb. 21, 2008, at the age of 31. He was born on Feb. 20, 1977.
He is survived by his wife Stephanie Greenly; parents Sidney and Josephine Greenly; brother Sidney Greenly Jr.; sisters Janell Greenly, Patricia McFadden, Josalin (Mike) Holguin; and numerous uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa. Services will be celebrated at noon. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Hawaiian Cemetery.

Jeannette Shirley Souza
Jeannette Shirley Souza of Kapa‘a died Feb. 18, 2008, at Garden Isle Health Care, at the age of 67. Born March 3, 1940, in Lihu‘e she was employed as a housekeeper with Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital and Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by five children Daniel (Tammy) Souza of Wailua Homesteads, Jimmy Souza of Arizona, Bobby Souza and Dorothy Souza of Kapa‘a, John Souza Jr. of Wailua Homesteads; sister Eleanor (Melvin) Wilson of Wailua Homesteads; brother John Larry (Yvonne) Teves of Kapahi; sister-in-law Peggy Teves; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 at Kapaa Missionary Church with services beginning at 4 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Arsenia Guerrero Butac
Arsenia Guerrero Butac of Hanama‘ulu passed away on Feb. 14, 2008, at Jeckson Hospital, Tarlac, Philippines at the age of 59. Born on April 19, 1948, in Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac Philippines, she was a nurses aide with Wilcox Hospital.
She is survived by her husband Romy A. Butac Sr.; sons Romy Jr. (Velma) Butac, Kevin Butac and Jason Butac all of Hanama‘ulu; grandchildren Jonathan-Trey Butac, Chason Butac, Chathan Butac, Jorryn Butac, Dreyke Butac and Damien Butac all of Hanamaulu; brother Donaery Sr. (Nelda) Guerrero of Hanama‘ulu; sisters Carmen (Doming) Casino and Angelina (Marlo) Merano both of Hanama‘ulu; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo followed by burial at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Casual attire is suggested.

Masao Yamahira
Masao Yamahira of Lihu‘e passed away on Feb. 20, 2008, at Garden Isle HealthCare at the age of 88. Born on Nov. 29, 1919, in Lihu‘e he was a Road District Clerk with the County of Kaua‘i.
He is survived by sister Harriet Yamahira of Lihu‘e; and numerous nieces and caregivers, Jacquel ine Yamahira and Flora (Ronald) Odo. Services were private.
