Hawaiian traffic up, seating capacity down in January
Hawaiian Airlines Inc., a subsidiary of Hawaiian Holdings Inc., served 567,160 passengers in January, up 3.8 percent from the same month in 2007.
The airline saw increases in its scheduled operations, though it recorded a 0.9 percent drop in seating capacity utilized over the previous year.
Charter operations saw a big decline in passengers transported — almost 35 percent. Seating capacity was also down 7.3 percent.
Luxury home marketing class attracts local agents
Sheila Morales and Kelly Liberatore with Makai Properties LLC and Coreen Sarabia with Kauai Realty Inc. recently completed a luxury home marketing training course.
The course covered topics such as demographics of the affluent, lifestyle segmentation, trends and amenities in today’s luxury home product, and creating a marketing plan for the multi-million-dollar property.
“We discovered new and creative tools for promoting expensive homes and estates and new resources for finding buyer prospects,” they said.
The class was taught by Sharon Simms and Tami Simms-Powel.
