Danny Lepley, president of CORK is pleased to announce that the next CORK Poker Run will be held on Feb. 24 on Hawaiian Homelands, mauka of Anahola at what many know as the M3D track.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the Kapa‘a Boys & Girls Club Kapa‘a to support their many activities for Kaua‘i’s youth.
“We are extremely pleased to partner with Hawaiian Homelands to provide a safe, fun day of riding for our riders, families and youth in the beautiful Anahola valley,” said Lepley. “An added bonus is raising proceeds for the Boys & Girls Club of Kapa‘a. The mission of the Boys & Girls Club is to help youth of all backgrounds develop the qualities and values needed to become responsible citizens and leaders by offering programs and services through a safe and caring environment.”
The Poker Run is a non-competitive day of riding for all classes and abilities (A, B, C, and easy C levels, motorcycles, ATV’s, and mountain bike riders are invited). The cost is $35 per adult and $15 for keiki 15 and under. Also, you must be a member of CORK to attend, due to insurance requirements.
Early sign-ups are available at the Computer Hospital, Cycle City Kauai/Two Wheels, S&S Speed Shop and Kauai Harley-Davidson. Pre-registration for membership and the Poker Run will be available at the Computer Hospital on Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
CORK was formed for the purpose of combining all off-road riders into a united strength, seeking to obtain legal riding areas here on Kaua‘i. To see the by-laws and mission statement go to Web site corkauai.com or call Danny Lepley at 482-1480.
