OK, so there’re all kinds of things planned … Catherine Stovall is working in the welcome tent, Bev Pang has beverage duty, and Rene Tokuda is definitely going to be all over as she usually is. Is Bob Bartolo doing the Coconut Bowling again? Shizu Hashimoto and the Kapa‘a Lions will be doing testing at their booth.
That’s good considering that KIF cross county and bowling have a bye week due to school being out … Theresa Koki is wrapping up camp today.
What is on tap is a very crucial volleyball game between Kaua‘i and Waimea at the Raiderdome (can you envision solar panels atop the roof for hot water and lights?).
Sam Henriques had a whole lot of ideas for a “green” gym following the visit by Jimmy Tokioka and some legislature VIPs. She was sharing them with Ross Shimabukuro at Wednesday’s game … Annette Hashimoto was ditched so was lucky her daughter came to help so she didn’t go lolo between selling tickets and filling orders from the snack counter.
Greg Gonsalves had one of those big lanterns, but he said it wasn’t because the lights flickered. Instead, he uses it when driving his golf cart from the gym to his office. But if the lights went out at the Bernice Hundley gymnasium, he was ready!
