Harvey Maeda was tooling down the highway in his new ‘57 vintage car, and then, the rains came. But hopefully it’ll stay clear for the second ASUH-KCC “Show Your Wheels” car show today … David Tao is still wondering if he’s going to go. Unfortunately, Yukie DeSilva is getting ready to watch the UH game live so she’s passing.
Tante Azares is one of the KCC instructors but will have at least one of his cars on show … you need to go to vote. And don’t forget the bikes, too!
Hats off to Mark Marshall and all the Civil Defense people for coordinating that anti-terrorism exercise. Mahalo, too, to all the Vidinha Stadium users for giving the troops room to do their exercises.
Over in Kalaheo, Peter Dease was helping the West Kaua‘i Medical Center people with selling their 50th anniversary T-shirts featuring a Chris Fayé design. Peter had just gotten his special order long-sleeved variety, and the reason you visit the sites ahead of the big celebration is so you can order what you want. Next week they move to the front of the West Kaua‘i Medical Clinic in Waimea.
J Robertson celebrated his birthday with a special lilikoi cheesecake created by Wendy at Mark’s Place. He put that together with dinner at the Kalaheo Steakhouse where Joe Grace paid them a personal visit at their table … kind of brings back the old days when you would stop at Duarte’s Liquor for your bar stuff before hitting the restaurant.
OK, ‘nuff said … it’s time for KIF cross country … lessee now, this is the week Kapa‘a coach Kara Panui is expecting, and they’re hosting?
