Along with Richard, Kelly Hoen of the Princeville Resort had to come check out the action as well seeing as how there was no room on Friday night.
Edie Bandman was thrilled the vendors in the craft area were doing so well. Jan Pascua (I have a hard time adjusting from Robinson) of the health department was passing out free (!) sunscreen, literature and even backpacks, and the Aaron Furugen lime shave ice hit the spot in that hot sun.
Kelsey Cadiente and Tristan Rosare couldn’t resist checking out the races after winning the KYBA title, Saturday. Actually, coach Mits Yokotake of the Kilauea Hui said we could go park in Kilauea if it was too crowded in Hanalei.
Now that the 18 and Under season is pau, the only thing left is Dennis Onishi and the Piopio Bears (that name is almost as good as the Hanama‘ulu Coyotes) who come to visit during the Admission Day weekend … stay tuned!
Congratulations to Linda Shimoda who was named as the new gallery director and education outreach coordinator for the Kaua‘i Museum. And, if the name sounds familiar, it’s because Linda has been showing some of her work starting with her first showing at Roy’s in Po‘ipu. Carol Lovell has a knack of finding the right people to fill a puka … way to go, Kaua‘i Museum!
OK, ‘nuff said … time to go check out coach Rich Roberts and the Kaua‘i Challenge volleyball tournament!
