Kelly Hoen of the Princeville Resort said they are jamming with weddings today. And if you happened to be on Ron Wiley’s airwave at 7:07 and 7 seconds, there was supposed to be a special prize giveaway. Lei Nakayama has her decorators working to fill all the wedding cake orders, and Jill Kosen is hoping there are no accidents so her photographers can get to all the weddings on their calendar.
Kelly was at the Aloha Iki fund-raiser Thursday night at the Kaua‘i Marriott where she was greeted by Sheraton Kaua‘i GM Angela Vento. Seems like all the island was at that shindig … Aletha Kaohi was waiting for the musical tables to settle, and it was nice chatting with Tad Miura, Jr. from the upper parking area to the lobby where Robert Ellis was having a special event for Kaua‘i shooters.
Noah Hamilton was busy fielding phone calls between the presentations, and Ron Kosen (he was shooting the Kaua‘i Hospice Concert in the Sky) was embedded (that’s a Bill Honjiyo term) in the audience.
Bill was at the veterans Fourth of July roundup where they kicked off their annual Kaua‘i Veterans Council fund-raiser for the 2007 Mazda pickup.
David Bukoski was at the Concert and said he was able to have a few beers with Shane Victorino on a recent trip to Maui. Kaliko Oligo’s dad (he was at Operation Military Appreciation) said Kaliko is coming home in December. With all this local talent floating around, maybe someone will do something for all the baseball kids.
Hats off to all the people who worked hard to make sure Kaua‘i had a lot of events to enjoy for the holiday.
