The Princeville Resort will sponsor the seventh annual beach cleanup of Hanalei Bay on July 5 at 7:30 a.m. at the Hanalei Pavillon beach park.
Each year, Independence Day celebrations leave exploded fireworks debris on the Hanalei Bay shoreline. The day-after cleanup event is part of the hotel’s “Malama Kaiaulu” Program that means “Caring for Community.”
The event is supported by Princeville Hotel employees, the County of Kaua‘i, Princeville at Hanalei, various civic organizations and canoe clubs, and caring individual residents and visitors, who all come together to make it a successful community event each year.
Volunteers are asked to bring gloves, hat and sunscreen. Pastries and beverages will be provided from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Bottled water will also be available.
For further information or to volunteer, contact Kelly Kaona at Princeville Hotel at 826-2218.
