Courtney Semana graduates in Las Vegas

Courtney Aguda Semana recently graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nev. The announcement was made in a press release by her family.

Semana graduated as a distinguished scholar student with high honors and as a member of the National Honor Society, Thespian Science and Service Clubs.

This fall, she will be attending the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and is planning to be a physical therapist.

Courtney, is the daughter of Leilani and Brett Penny of Las Vegas, and Bernie Semana of Hanama‘ulu and granddaughter of Marcos and Patrocinia Aguda of Las Vegas, Nev. and Martina Semana of Hanama‘ulu.

“I would like to thank my many friends and family members on Kaua‘i for their love and support,” Courtney states in the release. “Best wishes to great grandpa Ismeal Garcia, Mama Ellen and Papa Joe Rosa, Mama Mary Manguchei, Mary Salud, Auntie Vicky Gacia and family, Dora Dela Cruz, Constantino and Elia Lagoe and also to Sam and Lola Bukoski for the beautiful leis and flowers. Thank you for making my graduation a memorable and happy occasion to remember.”
