HONOLULU — Coach Elton Montemayor and his Menehune girls basketball team will play St. Andrew’s today, according to scheduling released by the Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association yesterday morning.
The Menehune, who earned the honor by clinching the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation title in a playoff against KIF Round 2 winner Kapa‘a, will take the court against St. Andrew’s starting at 6 p.m. at the Farrington High School courts.
Division II seedings include Sacred Hearts earning the opening day bye with its No. 1 ranking. The McKinley Tigers were awarded the second seed followed by Seabury Hall at No. 3 and Hawai‘i Prep rounding out the leaders at No. 4.
